PURVIEW

Establishes the modern statutory evidence framework for electronic and digital records, including the provisions governing recognition, admissibility and proof of such records. This is central to AI-related litigation because disputes increasingly involve model outputs, generated images or audio, system logs, metadata, prompts, audit trails and digitally stored records whose authenticity may be challenged. For privacy and cybersecurity, it also reinforces the importance of preserving reliable records, provenance and integrity controls because the evidentiary value of an AI-related record may depend on how securely and accurately it was created and maintained.
