PURVIEW
Prescribes the security framework for Aadhaar information, including safeguards concerning storage, access, authentication-related data, information security, confidentiality and protection of the Aadhaar ecosystem. Aadhaar data presents high sensitivity and high-impact misuse risks, so AI systems processing or interfacing with such data must be designed within a tightly controlled security environment. The Regulations therefore provide a specialised identity-data safeguard layer that complements broader privacy and cybersecurity laws and is especially important for biometric AI and large-scale identity analytics.
