Personal Data Act 2018 - Norway

The Personal Data Act 2018 (Norway) is the national legislation implementing the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) into Norwegian law through the European Economic Area (EEA) framework. The Act regulates the processing of personal data by public and private organisations, establishes obligations for controllers and processors, and provides individuals with rights relating to access, correction, deletion, and control over their personal information. The legislation complements the GDPR and forms the foundation of Norway’s data protection framework.
