The Rules are directly relevant to AI because telecom operators increasingly deploy AI in network management, anomaly detection, fraud prevention and customer operations, while AI systems themselves form part of the digital infrastructure that must be secured. For privacy and data protection, the Rules matter because compromise of telecom infrastructure can expose extensive subscriber and communications-related information.
