Consolidates SEBI’s regulatory requirements applicable to stock brokers, including technology, operations, investor protection, cybersecurity, outsourcing and related compliance obligations. The Master Circular therefore forms part of the legal environment in which AI-enabled brokerage functions must operate, including requirements concerning systems, controls, records, risk management and resilience. For privacy, it matters because stock brokers handle sensitive investor and transaction information and must maintain appropriate security and governance over the systems that process it.
