PURVIEW

Regulates credit information companies and the collection, furnishing, access, correction, protection and use of credit information in India. Its core importance for AI is that credit data is increasingly analysed through automated risk models, scoring systems, fraud tools and other decision-support technologies. For privacy and data protection, it is relevant to data quality, controlled disclosure, confidentiality and accountability in credit-data ecosystems, particularly where automated analysis can materially affect an individual’s access to financial products or services.
